I'm back on my origami kick. I was really into it right after May was born. I'd stay up until 2 in the morning just folding paper elephant after paper elephant. Does this seem strange to anyone else? I even incorporated origami into my Relief Socity lesson a couple of weeks ago, that's just how sick I really am. Like any of my other kicks, I can't stop until I get it compltely out of my system (bookbinding, baby shoes, etc.) Hopefully it'll be soon because I'm running out of origami paper. Here is the result of last night's frenzy:

Very nicely folded. How on earth do you survive on so little sleep?
Pretty! When we had Japanese exchange students, they always tried to teach us oragami. (Stupid clutzy American fingers!) They were all VERY precise and VERY good at it. They said that their grandmothers taught it to them starting at age 3.
I personally think it is the basis of their very precise, very careful culture. If I were you, I'd have Ruby and May give it a try. Then their suitcases will always be neatly packed to the point of amazing, their rooms tidy and clean, and when they eat at McDonalds, all the garbage will be folded up into a tiny neat little pile. Americans are beasts.
I want a paper bird tree!! Or a dragonfly tree. Heck, I'd have an elephant tree in my dining room if I could fold anything more than the cool paper cup I learned how to fold in R.S. the week before last.
I'm not so good at the oragami, so I could never have something so fancy in my house, but I can fold a dollar into a ring, mayb I make a dollar ring tree...no, probably not!
Oh I LOVE...how are you such a creative genious? Can you please pass me those ideas before you act on them so I can be kind of creative? They are so cute! I love the colors too!
Cool oragami! It brings me back to my days in China and Taiwan, everyone made me something like this. So cool.
I have dreams of having your creativity =0)!
