Friday Photos: Juniper, Week 30 (7 months!) and Olive, too

This little Juni Bird has slept through the night consecutively for almost a full week!
...
until last night when she woke up every three hours.
I'm hoping the waking up is just a phase,
as opposed to the sleeping through the night being a phase.
If having four kids has taught me anything it's that when it comes to babies,
they're really into taking two steps forward and one step back.
Figuratively, of course.
Speaking of mobility, she started vigorously army crawling a couple of days ago
and as of yesterday, full on crawling but she seems to prefer army crawling.

And then there's this one.
Oh, Olive.
This past week you were highly destructive and mischievous,
but you charmed everyone in your path.
You are plain delightful.

She always picks out her outfits herself.
And her accessories.

This shy little smile kills me,
it's so deceiving.
She is so not shy.

Friday Photo: Juniper, Week 13

She'll be 3 months tomorrow.
I can hardly believe it.

As you can see,
neither can Juniper.

Friday Photo: Juniper Week 8

We're photoboothing it today. Tomorrow early, early, early we leave for CA, so today that means laundry and packing and cleaning and saying prayers for nice and understand people on our 1.5 and 6.5 hour flights. THIS IS THE SECOND-LAST TIME I'LL EVER HAVE TO DO THIS, fly alone with all the kids. And the next time, I won't have a return flight, which makes me want to dance around with a lamp shade on my head.

She's like: "My, what big roots you have!"

Ok, Well Maybe Three Photos. Friday Photos: Woodland Creature Masks

The girls Halloween woodland animal costumes: Done.
These collectively took me about an hour? to make.
Best costumes ever!

The great thing about masks is that they are generally one-size-fits-all...
and I'm appreciating that quality right now.

Here is May's: a racoon. The contrast is awful in this photo
but there's black around the eyes...like a raccoon.
She will wear a grey outfit with it.
Easy.
And seeing that I'll be in post-birth agony at Halloween
so "easy" is the name of the game this year.
But let's be honest. "Easy" is the name of the game every year for me.

Olive: a skunk.
She will also wear a black outfit.
If I'm feeling saucy, I'll paint a white stripe down her backside.
Ruby: A fox.
She will wear an orange outfit.
Each animal is very appropriate for each girl.
It's funny, because they chose them themselves, too.
Hooray for Halloween!
Mostly because I won't be pregnant anymore!

P.S. - I made Ruby this skirt.
Still not sure if it was worth the effort.
It's cute but it took me forever
and didn't turn out quite like I had envisioned.
Close, but not exactly.

Friday Photos: Last Friday of the Summer

We just got back from swimming at the pool with Ruby's former (FABULOUS and RAD) second grade teacher. What a treat. What a cool lady. We've had such a good experience here at our little elementary school. And now its popsicles on the porch. Totally the perfect ending to this summer, our last summer here in PA. Did you just hear something? That would just be me attempting to stifle a scream of excitement. OH MY GOSH!

Friday Photos: Adventures with the Self Timer

All of these shots ended up being test shots with no real "final" shot. Oh well.
It's probably better that way since I majorly have the pregnant-fat face going on.
Yikes.
