Ten Things On My Mind Tonight, Mostly Griping But Not Entirely

1. I think Keanu Reeves is the worst actor in the whole wide world. In fact, I dare you to name an actor worse than this guy. Double-dog-ding-dong-doobie-dare you.

2. Michael Phelps is on SNL tonight. I'm not expecting greatness but I'm for sure watching it. I don't care what people (GO) say, SNL is still funny and I support it. And it's not as dirty as people who haven't watched it in a long time think it is; they've cleaned it up. Or maybe I'm completely desensitized. That's entirely possible as well.

3. Tonight I made Lentil Soup. My house smells of lentils and lentils don't smell good at all. The soup wasn't delicious or tasty but my girls surprisingly liked it, so it wasn't a total bust. Getting May to eat anything besides pancakes or fishy crackers is akin to parting the Red Sea, so though my home is now fumigated with the stench of lentils, I'm ok with it.

4. Today it was in the 70's. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 90's. Then Monday back to the 70's. What?

5. My life was feeling mundane, so I made a bunch of new pillows for our front room, just to mix things up a bit. I'm very into mixing patterns right now, giving my already eclectic front room an even more eclectic feel, which makes me happy but tends to confuse first timers who walk into our home. I can see it in their eyes, like "Hey, wait a second. You guys are supposed to be LDS...where's the fake ficus tree? Where's the gingham? Why is there no navy blue in here? This doesn't feel right. Where am I?"

6. My etsy shop will be open soon. I'm excited!

7. Tuesday I get to take pictures of a newborn baby. Close your eyes and inhale. Smell that? It's heaven.

8. I'm starting to show, which means maternity pants are right around the corner. Oh, joy! This brings nothing but ecstasy to my husband. He is a HUGE fan of elastic waisted pants. Ok. Anyone who knows my fashion-minded husband at all knows that I am being 100% completely and utterly sarcastic. I love this about him--it was actually the first impression he made on me two years prior to actually meeting him, when I was just creepily watching and observing him from afar. The guy has style. By now, he's learned not to say anything about the wretched elastic, as it's about the only option out there. I just see him looking at it though and I can always tell the presence of it slung about my bulging waistline burns his retinas. I'd even venture to say he's more excited than I am when I get back into my pre-baby jeans. Not because I'm that much closer to not being a fatty, but because it's the end of an elastic-filled era.

9. Sadly, my neighbor told me today that she and her husband are going through a separation. I've been told similar news like this before but never by the actual person who is separating from their spouse. It was one of those situations where you don't know what to say, especially on the spot, but it really doesn't matter as nothing you can say will change or help the situation, as much as you wish it could, but you've still have to say something so you do; you just can't say nothing. And whatever you say, it always comes out lame and for the next day or two, you're mulling it over in your mind about what you could have said or should have said even though it really didn't matter in the first place. Lameness in that situation is inevitable.

10. I dream about Swedish Fish--the big red soft ones. I wish I could swim in a pool of them. And then eat that pool.

I am so right there with you on #1.
Just made the same statement myself last night minus the ding dong part.
Very relieved about #3. Thinking a positive response was needed tonight for everyone.
The pic in #5 is so not yours, so would like to see yours...unless it all was just for blogging purposes.
Excited about #6 but being the very out of it gal that I am, (and to prove my outofitness, I use words like gal) please give address or path to get to it.

#1. My pick for worst actor ever has always been Kevin Bacon. Can't stand him.
#2. I can't wait for SNL - mostly because I know Kristen Wiig is going to do a SWEET Sarah Palin impression.

Can I please add Matthew McConaughey to that list? Can't stand him. But I will admit that Keanu Reeves will always have a place in my heart because I really loved "Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure" (The first, not the second. That one was lame.) I too would like to see your pillows. (heehee, that sounds kinda funny/dirty.) Good luck with the maternity pants. Couldn't you just borrow some scrubs? Hello benefits of being a Dr's wife!

2 words...Kevin Costner.

Love the new header! Did you draw that?

I accept your dare and challenge you with Jean Claude VanDamme.

Keanu is indeed the worst actor ever. Worst actress- Drew Barrymore. I want to die when she is on screen.

And I am totally depressed to still be in my maternity pants. Elastic waistbands are NOT as comfortable as you might think. I hate them.

Nicholas Cage. I think he is the worst. At least Mr. Reeves has a little bit of the eye-candy factor.

The Timotee also hated HATED Keanu Reeves. Guessing you might like knowing that.

I, like josieposie, hate Kevin Bacon. The 7 degrees of separation game made me ittitated because it made him even more famouser. (footloose talk) He makes me look away and wretch. Snake lips

I hear from a daughter in law that there are maternity pants now that go way way way up in the front. Right next to your you know whats. Pretty sure Go will like. Go will like it ah lot.

Ok. . . ok. I may be ENTERING dangerous waters, heh heh. However, first the iconic "Bill & Ted's Adventure" & "Matrix" hero was infringed upon. WORST ACTOR IN THE WORLD -- Freddie Prince, Jr.
His movies are meant to be DVDs. Also, he has the gayest name in the world. Finally, has anyone ever seen "Swimfan"?!!?! Chalk it up to so creepy retarded the only thing saving me was Phelps on SNL.

George Clooney.

SNL was not funny.

#1: i'd rather watch keanu than ryan reynolds. we already have 1 jim carey in the world and that is bad enough, i think ryan wants to be his wing man, and that's just too many eye rolls for me.

Todd and I agree that Keanu Reeves is really awful, but Ashton Kutcher is right behind him. He is a cutie though.....(from diana not todd)

Oh, that's a toss up...Kevin Costner or Keanu...tough choice!

my girl pick is Denise Richards. I can't believe no one picked her yet. Have you seen Bond? Stupid Christmas or whatever. Tara Reid is bad too.

I didn't know your man loved elastic waist pants as much as mine did. Can't wait to see the belly!

OK, shout out to Erica Reynolds, because NICHOLAS CAGE is definitely definitely DEFINITELY the worst.
