-Lemon Thyme!
-Roma Tomatoes!
-Cherry Tomatoes!
-Jet Star Tomatoes! (Because the Ringgers chose this one and I trust them completely in everything they do, and this includes tomato plant selection)
-Jalapenos!
-Strawberries!
My thumb really, really wants to be green. It's trying it's very hardest. I guess the way to learn to garden and grow things is to actually try. Oh and you can bet they'll be updates. You are so excited right now.

I have yet to have a green thumb experience. I too want to be a green thumber, but everything I grow tends to die or not grow at all. Now that I have an actual yard, perhaps I can be a little more dedicated. We shall see! good luck with your growing!

Wow. Our planting lists are so identical . . . I'm getting some peach trees for my bday in June. Hoorah! It's so fun. The kids help me pick strawberries (b/c in the desert it's strawberry time now) and basil when I need it. They help me water the plants and keep the freaking dog OUT of the plants when we water them (she knows the water makes glorious mud) . . . all good memories. And your perenials are lovely. And I love the pics from your walk. So gorgeous!

Good luck! Tip on the Pansies - plant them in fall. I DO NOT have a green thumb, but I have a great little local garden center where I get my annuals.
Anyway, when it starts to cool down at the beginning of fall, plant them. They will die in the winter but as soon as it starts to get warm again - early spring - they pop right back to life and stay alive until the heat of the summer. That's how they work in Oklahoma anyway - maybe different north! I love it b/c I have pretty flowers right when spring starts. Good luck w/ all the herbs and stuff!
My thumb has never wanted to be green. I do, however, enjoy the fruits of other green thumbs' labors. I'm glad I married someone with such a thumb. Now if only we had a yard wherein said green thumb could get to work. One day!
I hate those dang pansies. They never last, I will have to check back here when I'm ready to plant again.
