Some of my favorite things about Late Spring/Early Summer:
-You can find cute sunglasses at Target for $5.99. This is solid gold for a girl like me who breaks/loses her sunglasses every other week.
(i for one, love big sunglasses but i thought this cartoon was funny.)-Pools/water parks are open.
These are staples in our weekly summer schedule. During the winter our schedule basically is like gym, grocery store, home...over and over. And when we are home, we just stare out the window at the drab sky and the icy ground. And then when the girls' backs are turned, I give all the snow the finger with both hands, which in our house is the ring finger, not the middle, because we'd like to think it means something less obscene but pretty close to it.
-I spend less money on things I don't need. I'm too busy to wander around Target and put random things in my cart because yo, it's sunny outside!
-A tan vs. pasty, pasty, white.

-I can get away without wearing make up. I don't know how much longer this will last as I'm nearing...dun-dun-dun...THIRTY.
-Free extra channels on TV, like Bravo. I finally got to watch the last season of Project Runway, my fave. It takes me a good 2 hours to stop talking like Christian Siriano after I watch it each time though, which is always fierce.

Ditto on all accounts. You have hit all the nails on all the heads.
Fierce and fabulous! Sorry if I ruined the outcome for you. I posted it on my blog. I couldn't get down to chocolate world fast enough when they had the Hershey's challenge designs on display. That show rocks, and there is a new season starting for the summer! Hooray for Bravo.
Have I told you that you are my daily dose of medication, thats right I can't live w/o you.
Now that I am admitting this, I still get this service for free.?.
I agree! I hate hot and I hate cold. That's why I live in WA where the weather is pretty much always in the middle and crappy, but it makes me happy!
Cute post Annie. I am looking forward to freedom in my schedule. I know I'm not as tied down as most moms but for me 6 weeks of almost daily swimming lessons is killing me!
that wedding picture is sheer inspiration. i'll start saving pennies to bribe a certain person to do it when she gets married.
and i love big sunglasses too. go big or go home. that also applies to bawbles. (sp?)
Hey Annie, funny blog. You probably don't know who I am, we met one time a long time ago since my husband grew up with your husband, but I think we should be blogging "friends" anyway :) Later.
Yah for this time of the year! One of my favs too...I must say I really love the summer to fall transition as well.
Okay - for a portion of that post and you know which portion, you are not even my child.
